Niobium wire mesh's chemical composition

Niobium, element symbol: Nb, atomic number 41, is a VB group metal. Its density is 8.57 g/cm3, melting point of 2477 ° C,boiling point of 4744 ° C. Niobium is a silver-gray, soft, and ductile, high-melting point metal.

At normal temperature, Niobium doesn't react with air and isn't completely oxidized when it is red hot in oxygen.

     At high temperatures,Niobium wire mesh is combined with sulfur, nitrogen and carbon. Niobium wire mesh(Columbium wire mesh or UNS R04295 wire mesh) is one of the rare metals with high melting point. 

It is irresponsive neither inorganic acids and bases, is insoluble in aqua regia, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid。

The acid resistance of niobium is better zirconium, but not better  than tantalum
