Carpenter 20 wire mesh, also called alloy 20 and incoloy 20 wire mesh, is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy wire mesh.
This superalloy also contains copper and molybdenum and is popular in the production of gasoline, solvents, explosives, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and synthetic materials. Alloy 20 wire mesh is mainly used to resist acid attack, especially sulfuric acid. This super alloy has excellent resistance to general corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion in chemicals containing chloride and sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and nitric acid. It also contains niobium, which stabilizes sensitization and prevents intergranular corrosion. Carpenter 20 combines excellent corrosion resistance with improved mechanical properties and relatively easy manufacturing.
Features and Applications of Carpenter20 Wire Mesh
Alloy 20 wire mesh's Feature:
Excellent sulfuric acid corrosion resistance
Excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking
Excellent mechanical properties and processability
Minimal carbide precipitation during welding
Excellent resistance to hot sulfuric acid
Alloy 20 wire mesh's application:
Synthetic rubber manufacturing equipment
Processing of pharmaceuticals, plastics and organic and heavy chemical products
Storage tanks, pipes, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and other process equipment
