Molybdenum is a metal, element symbol: Mo,atomic number 42, is a VIB group metal. The density of molybdenum is 10.2g/cm3, the melting point is 2610°C, and the boiling point is 5560°C Molybdenum is a silver-white metal that is hard and tough, has a high melting point, and has a high thermal conductivity. It doesn't react with air at room temperature. Due to its high strength, high melting point, corrosion resistance and wear resistance,  molybdenum is widely used in steel, petroleum, chemical, electrical and electronic technology, medicine and agriculture.
